METALCON ® 2014 Visit ! 

Many industrial trade shows and conferences are conducted in the fall months of the year all over the world. METALCON, the largest international event for the metal construction industry, took place on October 1^st through the 3^rd at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

Since the first METALCON in 1991, the event continues to be the only annual tradeshow and conference focusing completely on the application of metal in industrial, institutional, light commercial and residential projects. Three days of workshops, demonstrations and product booths draw representatives from more than 50 countries.

METALCON features the Metal Construction Association Metal Roofing Championship Games. The Games liven-up the typical tradeshow venue by allowing participants to compete for prizes in four challenges sponsored by individual companies. This year the following challenges were offered:

• Triangle “Screw Gun” Challenge
• D.I Roof Seamers “90-Degree” Challenge
• S-5!’s “Let it Snow” Challenge
• JJs “Give it a Boot” Challenge.

A: Pinnacle’s display of cold formed framing system which targets residential and commercial markets. They offer economical structural solutions up to four stories high. Their system consists of both design software and specialized machinery to produce light-weight components. B: Metalcon’s* “Solar Bay” displays various forms of attachment systems which integrates solar panels with pre-engineered steel building standard roof systems. C: Vendor unknown: Display of cold formed framing system which targets residential and commercial markets.
